Then the fellas and I hit the stage with everything we had.  It was great to shake the dust off by brothers kick drum a bit.  Every time we play it's like we've been doing it for 11 years or so...go figure.  I know exactly what Barry's gonna do, and what Dezi's gonna do and what Brian's gonna do.  And sometimes we're surprised by what we all do when we put it together and really mean it.  It's one of the biggest thrills of my life everytime we play.

Romantica - wow.  They played the set after intermission.  We've never played a show with those guys before.  They really rocked.  Slow and steady, executed every note.  Barry and I joined them on a couple songs, National Side and an up-tempo version of Halleujah.  We enjoyed hanging out, sharing stories and getting to know the guys in Romantica a bit better.  We will definately be playing with them again soon.

OK... so it's some random dude at Dibbo's in Hudson, Wisconsin where we did a gig about 10 years ago. After a rousing rendition of American (No, we don't play it anymore) Pie this guy, let's call him... Ted, stood before us, raised his arms in the air, looked to the sky, and proclaimed "You guys are the reason for my life!". Ted was an unkempt man. Think professional wrestler, but dirtier, drunker, and more on drugs. The other two patrons attending that evening's concert didn't appear to be phased by his outburst. Perhaps it was all part of a normal night at Dibbo's.

Ted continued "rocking out" until we came to a break, at which time he sat down with us for a little chat. This is what Ted had to say: "You guys are awesome! You rock!... But you know what? You suck! You don't sweat enough! But you know what? You rock!

So which is it Ted? Do we rock, or do we suck? Ted may never know, but at least he's right.
